The New Brunswick provincial government is investing $1 million to further make vocational and technical education for francophone students accessible.
The $1 million will help fund equipment and materials, will help train teachers and will also help to expand the offerings of trade courses in high schools.
Shawn Graham, the Premier, said the money will offer young students new learning opportunities.
“If our young people are stimulated to learn, they will be better able to take up tomorrow’s challenges and become involved in self-sufficiency efforts,” he said.
Francophone high schools currently have a choice of 25 vocational and technical courses.
