Acer Canada has launched its new Veritron 4 series commercial desktops. They’re equipped with the latest 4th generation Intel Core processors, with options up to a Core i7, 4GB of memory and up to a 500GB hard drive available. prices start at $549 and come with a limited three-year warranty and service, depending on configuration.
According to Acer Canada, the Veritron 4 series is designed for businesses, schools and government agencies. They feature a modular, rool-less chassis for simpler upgrades, and come with security and management tools designed for IT managers. The desktops are also TPM 1.2 compliant to conform to corporate-level security requirements.
“Our newest Veriton desktops continue to provide excellent management and security features in expandable models to meet a wide variety of budgets and professional requirements,” said Michael O’Beirne, Acer’s senior director of commercial product marketing. “We’re pleased to offer Intel’s fourth generation processors, which provide more speed, improved graphics and better power management than the prior generations.”
A variety of form factors are available. The Veritron M minitower (30L) model offers practical expansion options. The Veritron X small form factor chassis (10L) model is one-third the size of a standard PC, saving valuable office space and handling productivity tasks smoothly while using less energy.
The desktops come with Acer ProShield, a single-client console application that integrates key security and management features into one interface, as well as One Button Recovery for easier backup and restoration, Smart Client manager to help SMB owners and IT managers adminsiter software, and Veritron ControlCentre to streamline routine IT tasks.
