The hallmarks of a great business relationship are mutual profitability and ease of doing business. The HP PartnerOne program has consistently delivered these hallmarks for more than a decade. Now that the HP is about a month away from becoming two separate entities in HP Inc. and Hewlett Packard Enterprise what will become of the HP PartnerOne program?
Starting Nov. 1st HP Inc.’s partner program will be retitled HP Partner First, while Hewlett Packard Enterprise will be named Partner Ready.
While these are new names for the marketplace and the channel community, at the core they will be the partner programs you have come to expect from HP; mainly predictable and profitable.
And the PartnerOne brand will not be going away. The HP PartnerOne Alliance will be the program that encourages and incent partners to do business with both HP Inc. and Hewlett Packard Enterprise.
Both HP Inc. and Hewlett Packard Enterprise will be aggressively pursuing new business opportunity in the idea economy. The two organizations call this trend the “New style of IT” and it will aim at transform IT with security, versatility and reliability.
Channel partners from around the world have already notices the changes.
John Witte, the president and CEO of Toronto solution provider Carbon 60 Networks Inc. said there’s a clear shift in focus specifically with Hewlett Packard Enterprise.
“I have been an HP channel partner for a long time and I’ve seen them change already with its go-to-market strategy. What they are doing now with us is something I don’t think they would do say five years ago,” Witte said.
Michael Guschlbauer of Bechtle is an HP PartnerOne member who believes that PartnerOne is a seal of quality for our customers.
Another HP PartnerOne supporter Reiner Louis of Computacenter said the program gives his company a great deal of stability and the opportunity to become more profitable.
Rick Chernick of Camera Corner Connecting Point said HP PartnerOne allows even small resellers who want to get into it to participate and make some instant cash.
