D&H Canada achieved 50 per cent fiscal year-over-year growth this year and also increased its staff headcount by close to 40 per cent, Greg Tobin, general manager at D&H Canada said.
The distributor also exceeded its customer growth expectations this year, which led to the move into a new facility in Mississauga, Ont.
The new location, which covers an area of 50,000 square-feet, almost doubles D&H Canada’s inbound and outbound shipping capacity and also streamlines shipping processes.
“We’ve grown quite a bit and we’ve maintained our customer focus throughout,” Tobin said. “We’re also well over 100 vendor partners, with 20 new ones signed on this year and we’ll always be looking for new partners to help us grow.”
Success in product categories such as mobility, computer systems and accessories, networking and storage, helped contribute to the distributor’s growth in 2009, Tobin said.
In 2010, D&H Canada will focus on the small business market, particularly in areas such as VoIP, data backup and green technologies.
“Green technology is here and it’s real,” Tobin said. “People need to be aware of this and this is not something that we should be just be paying lip-service to. Partners need to help customers understand energy efficiency and the cost benefits of these (green) products.”
