What kind of a tablet does $399 get you these days? According to Asus, quite a lot.
The hardware company’s new device, the ZenPad S 8.0 comes with several premium features including the new USB Type-C connector as well as a 2K QXGA (1536 x 2048) IPS display.
At 7.9 inches across, the display has a pixel density of 324ppi. It runs on Android 5.0 (Lollipop) and comes with Intel’s Atom Z3580 Quad-Core 64bit processor, 2GB or 4GB of memory, 16GB, 32GB, or 64GB of storage, WLAN802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth V4.1, and has a 5 MP front-facing and 8 MP rear-facing camera.
Furthermore, Asus is pushing the tablet as a multimedia and gaming device with Miracast support, two front speakers, a microSD card reader, and 8 hours of battery life.
It is now available at Canada Computers, London Drugs, Memory Express, NCIX, Newegg.ca and Visions.
