Bulletproof Solutions Inc. has announced its acquisition by Gaming Laboratories International and affiliates (the GLI Group) for an undisclosed figure.
The entire leadership team at the Atlantic Canada IT provider will stay on board according to GLI, which offers testing, professional services, consultation, auditing, risk and compliance, field inspections, security audits, and more in the lottery and gambling industry.
“The investment further underscores the GLI Group’s commitment to Canada, and in particular, New Brunswick and the Atlantic Provinces,” the new parent company said in a statement. “Both companies plan to leverage Bulletproof’s strong IT services capabilities throughout other provinces in Canada and in the United States.”
It is headquartered in Lakewood, New Jersey, but has offices in Burnaby, BC and Moncton, New Brunswick.
Through the acquisition, Bulletproof’s services, in areas including network and security consulting, custom software, unified communications, IP video surveillance and education services are being made available to gaming, lotteries and voting machine related companies, sectors that the GLI Group operates in.
GLI Group has also said that they foresee expanding Bulletproof throughout Canada and globally, although New Brunswick will remain the base of operations.
“This is the ideal scenario for Bulletproof to take it to the next level,” Bulletproof CEO Steven Burns said in a statement. “We’ve done a good job growing our company to over 80 people in Atlantic Canada … GLI Group immediately saw the awesome potential we have to become more and wants to nurture that potential into growth and success for Bulletproof.”
