Avaya launches mid-market program for select channel partners

Avaya is making a new effort to target mid-sized businesses through what it has dubbed the Midmarket Select Program, but not all channel partners need apply.

The program, unveiled this week, gives a “limited number of Avaya Connect channel partners” access to Select Engagement Packages, new bundles that include UC solutions, a contact centre, video, networking, mobility and professional services, and are based on the Avaya IP Office platform.

Membership for the program is not limited by geography but will be selected based on requirements for training, expertise, business plans and growth targets. In the area of growth, Avaya has promised increased marketing resources, training and demand generation support.

Current members of the Midmarket Select Program include Arrow Systems Integration, Carousel Industries, ConvergeOne (formerly NACR), Strategic Products and Services (SPS), GSolutionz, Connex Telecommunications and Maintel.

“Avaya’s new global partner organization vice president Steve Biondi came onboard a bit over a month ago with a determination to enable partners to aggressively target the midmarket – defined as businesses with between 100-2000 employees or seats,” the company said in a statement. “This is potentially a high-growth area that is underserved by business communications solutions that are either built for larger enterprises or smaller businesses.”
