Makers of popular free antivirus software AVG has launched the 9.2 update to its Managed Workspace remote monitoring and management platform.
Targeted at SMBs, Managed Workplace 9.2 features remote control capability from ISL Online, a remote desktop control software, which is now integrated into the dashboard.
This “Premium Remote Control” was included in order to eliminate the need to purchase third party solutions, AVG said in a statement.
In addition to Windows and OS X control cross-compatibility, Managed Workplace 9.2 includes integrated backup and disaster recovery, a new device manager for OS X, and antivirus.
“Now with the company’s extended Managed Workplace platform, we can have both remote control and remote monitoring and management in one solution, without having to make choices or changes to our operations,” said Bob Ascherl, director of managed services and advanced technology services in a statement. “AVG Business Managed Workplace has enabled us to streamline our technology needs and work from one platform.”
