Compass, distributor Avnet Technology Solutions‘ annual conference for its IBM Corp. (NYSE: IBM) partners, runs this week and the event is getting a revamp, reports Rob Dutt of ChannelBuzz.ca:
“Whereas in the past, Compass was an event focused on vision (bring in top partner executives, provide information and guidance on what’s coming up), the distributor decided that this year, with Big Blue introducing so many new profitability-boosting program elements, it’s time to go back to school.”

At its partner conference in March in New Orleans, new IBM CEO Ginni Rometty reaffirmed former CEO Sam Palmisano’s strategic vision and introduced several new incentive programs for partners.
