The Canadian-based international client has thousands of content creators in over 32 countries with as many as 300 billion annual views in 2017, a 400 per cent increase from 2015. Sierra Systems helped the Canadian-based company create a customer relationship management (CRM) system to help manage workflow and keep track of its growing list of clients.
“As the business and its offering to partners was growing, the legacy’s labyrinth of siloed data were slowly becoming less efficient, expensive to maintain and slow to react to growth,” said Erin Kutcy, brand and content marketing manager for Sierra Systems. “It lacked the more complicated reporting features that management needed, mostly since it had been created to answer a single business question with simple logic, it was not expandable to support new business units as the organization grew.”
Sierra Systems offered a system built with Microsoft Business Applications using the Dynamics 365 customer engagement system. It helped the client’s content acquisition team to more easily develop leads and add more content creators. It even helped with the on-boarding process for this new talent.
In addition, Kutcy said it improved workflow between departments and improve “visibility” into the company’s payment and creator performance systems. She also said the CRM system is now integrated “into 75 per cent of the company, connecting applications and services directly to one single data source.”
“[Our solution] resulted in a massive reduction in creator-focused hours required of staff, freeing them to focus on early influenceridentification and quality network growth,” said Kutcy. “[It] has transformed creator management from a task into a seamless process that begins with on-boarding and ultimately leads to greater channel growth.”
Data management is an ever growing industry; statistics from Orbis Research and its Global Enterprise Data Management Market report show that the enterprise data management market was valued at $68.80 billion in 2016 and is projected to reach $142.67 billion in 2023.
Sierra Systems is a businesses’ management consultant that is able to take advantage of this growing market with headquarters in Vancouver and offices across Canada, including Toronto. It partners with companies such as Microsoft, Oracle and IBM to offer various services like this data management use case.
