IRVINE, Calif. — US Modular, a designer and manufacturer of personal memory, storage and power products, has announce the latest product in the company’s Cold Fusion line of over-clocked memory for the serious PC gamer.
The modules are high-performance, over-clocked DDR2 memory modules that deliver what it calls “a surge of gaming power” to the latest DDR2-based motherboards.
Clocked at up to 1066MHz, with extremely low latencies of 5-5-5-15, Cold Fusion helps adds fluidity and realism to the gaming experience, the company said.
Cold Fusion memory is available in 512MB and 1GB DDR2 RAM configurations.
Available starting April 10, pricing of the modules starts at an MSRP of US$69.99 and US$149.99 (800MHz/1066MHz), respectively.
The company plans on announcing next-gen DDR2 modules later in the year after working directly with gamers to develop what it says will be a “superior, future-proof high-performance product line.”
US Modular said it qualifies Cold Fusion modules by testing them under a variety of environmental conditions such as extreme heat and bitter cold while performing under load with the latest gaming software.
Cold Fusion modules are assembled with a rapid thermal dissipation heat spreader and tested at the lowest possible latencies and highest bus speeds.
