Flash storage vendor enhances channel program

Networked Flash storage appliance vendor Astute Networks has announced a number of enhancements to its AstuteNet program for its channel partners targeting what it terms as a multi-billion dollar all-flash storage market opportunity.

According to Astute, the changes will help VARs, Sis, MSPs and consultants new resources to help them better grow and serve their client base and increase profit margins. The program now includes early access and input into product roadmaps and Beta releases, increased training, sales and marketing support and resources, expanded demand creation and lead referral programs, and enriched loyalty rewards, plus a dedicated program manager for partners.

“We have made quite an investment in the newly enhanced AstuteNet program; and, while we have indeed bolstered its vetting process in order to ensure that we team with only the most trustworthy and proven channel partners, we have also further streamlined the program to assure ease of entry and fast time to profit,” said Miharu Gold, director of channel sales for Astute Networks, in a statement.  “Bottom line, AstuteNet ensures our strategic channel partners will be able to solve their end user clients’ toughest I/O performance challenges and consequently, meet existing requirements, support agile response to new business opportunities, and increase competitive advantage.”

Astute’s goal is to bring affordable flash storage to the midmarket through the channel, and the company told CDN in June that it was offering aggressive margins of 30 points to bring Canadian partners on board. 100 per cent of the company’s sales are through the channel, and its ideal partner is someone who is both storage knowledgeable and virtualization knowledgeable.
