Dave Frederickson, the long time HP Canada executive has been named the new national vice-president of business development for Calgary-based solution provider Long View Systems.
Frederickson was one of about 10 senior executives to leave the enterprise group at HP Canada this year.

Frederickson, who was the vice president of enterprise storage and servers group, was in a state of executive limbo in June of this year. A source inside HP Canada told CDN that Frederickson’s status at the time to be determined. Frederickson worked for HP Canada for more than 24 years and at one time was in charge of its Solution Provider Organization, which made him the subsidiary’s channel chief.

Brian Aebig, the president of Avnet Canada told CDN at the Canadian Channel Golf Charity Classic that it would not take long for Frederickson to find a senior level position in the channel.
CDN learned that Frederickson mulled over at least three serious offers before he chose Long View.
