Hot on the heels of the launch of Windows 10, HP has announced a new suite of migration tools and services for the operating system.
New services include Test Drive, Transformation, and Roadmap servicess for Windows 10 as well as a WebApp Accelerator service for Internet Explorer 11.
As the name might suggest, Test Drive is a tool designed to allow companies considering a migration to Windows 10 to try it out. A select group of users can evaluate compute, migration pace, the possibility of virtualization, and app compatibility.
Transformation services, meanwhile, rolls out the operating system for a company once it has decided to upgrade. It incorporates infrastructure building as well as web application support, and image creation.
Thirdly, Roadmap is a strategy tool whereby a company can plan how a Windows 10 implementation will improve productivity, security and management.
Lastly, HP’s WebApp Accelerator Service for Internet Explorer 11 ensures that critical web applications built for legacy versionf of IE will work on more modern browsers.
“The solutions and services HP has built on the Microsoft platform will help our joint customers take full advantage of the unique and innovative features of Microsoft Enterprise Cloud Suite including Windows 10, Office 365 and the Enterprise Mobility Suite,” Susan Hauser, corporate vice president of enterprise and partner group at Microsoft said in a statement.
HP’s Transformation services will be available October 1st while all other services are available now.
