Insite Computer Group Inc.‘s customer had the following challenges: Servers on site. Legacy accounting system on Unix platform needed upgrade. Remote access through Terminal Services was unscalable. Lack of I.T. and business process. Decentralized use of technology. Outgrew incumbent provider. Objectives: * Smooth deployment of new ERP * New server architecture to accommodate upgraded ERP * Implement robust Remote Access solution * WAN Improvements to accommodate remote access Solution: Following earlier discussed methodology, ICG conducted a discovery session and performed an I.T. Audit. A Project Plan and Statement of Work were generated based on the findings and subsequent discussions between National Fire and ICG. Once the transition to ICG was complete, a Project Review document was generated and presented to National Fire representatives for review and discussion.

Insite was able to take an organization running legacy systems in a legacy infrastructure and bring them forward to improve their overall experience and business success by upgrading their entire environment as well as bring their server infrastructure into the cloud.

Describe the improvement this Solution, Service Provided, or Initiative made to the customer’s sales or revenues. What changed? Provide evidence of measurable improvements in sales, revenues, cost reduction, etc.

The outsourcing of National Fire’s I.T. to ICG Managed Services resulted in the accomplishment of all of the companies stated objectives for this project. There were also several complimentary benefits that were achieved as a result. Significant improvement in remote access capabilities. Improved productivity as a result of new application delivery methodologies. Centralization of data resulted in improved backup methodologies. Improved productivity as a result of new features added to application environment (PDF Printing, BlackBerry Enterprise Server, Remote Printing). Overall down time was decreased to zero, performance increased and the new ERP system priovided better controls and financials and now their systems would not impede their corporate goals.

All aspects of the business increased in efficiencies, quicker response to customers, internal users had quicker response and no down time so employees became more efficient

In what ways does this Solution, Service Provided, or Initiative go above and beyond industry norms and expectations?

Insite was able to provide a variety of services that wee not available to the customer prior to engagement. This was not only an IT enhancement project but a business productivity and business process initiative. Insite brought in the appropriate experts to tackle all areas. All projects were managed by Insite’s Project management team.

By virtualizing and putting their servers in the cloud the ustomer has reduced their carbon footprint
