Intel’s Haswell processors come to Eurocom laptops and notebooks

Ottawa-based PC vendor Eurocom has four new laptop and notebook lines built around the fourth generation of Intel’s Core i7 processors, codenamed Haswell.

Divided into high performance laptops and lightweight notebooks, the new models are the 15.6” Eurocom Racer, the 15.6” Eurocom Shark, the 17.3” Eurocom Neptune and the 17.3” Eurocom Scorpius series notebooks, offering gaming, professional and workstation capability.

“Like all Eurocom models, the newest offerings will continue to be fully customizable at the time of purchase and most importantly VGA upgradeable to allow customers to enjoy their computing well after purchase,” said Eurocom president Mark Bialic, in a statement.

The Shark Series is a 15.6” thin and light notebook with integrated next generation NVIDIA Graphics and long battery life.

The 15.6” Racer is a fully customizable notebook with the power of a full sized mobile workstation in a small package. It can be equipped with a Matte or Glossy Full HD 1920-by-1080 pixels 16:9, IPS display, and supports high performance, high power VGA technologies up to 100 Watt GPUs including next Generation NVIDIA Graphics.

The Neptune is a 17.3” fully upgradeable notebook designed for professional applications as well as gaming and entertainment use.  It includes powerful graphics, 4th generation Intel Core i7 processors and 32GB RAM.

Finally, Scorpius is a 17.3” notebook with support for dual graphics cards capability. It’s equipped with dual MXM 3.0B slots rated for 100W GPUs and is ready to SLI the fastest next generation NVIDIA Graphics. It is designed to be a high performance notebook computer platform with long lifespan and full upgradeability, it supports 4 RAM slots for up to 32 GB of DDR3-1600 memory and up to three internal 1TB drives with RAID 0/1/5 plus support for mSATA Solid State storage.  It also supports 3D technology.
