Lenovo IdeaTab S2110 released with a low price point

If you’re in the market for a slate with which to surf the Web, watch movies and play with apps, the Lenovo IdeaTab S2110 is a new option that is worth checking out.

The 10.1-inch IdeaTab S2110 runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 1.5GHz processor. It comes with 16GB or 32GB of internal storage and 1GB of RAM and holds a charge for up to 10 hours.

At 1.3 pounds the S2110 weighs the same as its predecessor, the S2109, which only just started shipping in May.

The new model brings more to the table, however, and comes with a 5.0-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and LED flash as well as a larger screen. The tablet’s HD display is slightly curved with a 178-degree viewing angle, making it easier for you to share what you’re viewing with others, Lenovo says.

There’s a 1.3-megapixel front webcam for video chatting, of course, and dual speakers are great for music and conversations while SRS TruMedia audio enhancement delivers better sound while requiring less memory.

But the best thing the IdeaTab S2110 has going for it is its optional and marvelously inexpensive keyboard docking station. It sports dual USB ports and a 3-in-1 SD card reader that will give you another 10 hours of battery life, not to mention a laptop-like experience that is undeniably useful at times. At only $56, the dock is hard to pass up.

Available as 3G-enabled or WiFi-only, the IdeaTab S2110 starts at only $343 for the 16GB model.
