Makerbot unveils its next distribution partner

MakerBot today announced its next distribution partner, one that would bring its 3D printers primarily to education, healthcare, government and manufacturing sectors in the U.S.

The vendor is partnering with D&H to market both printers and scanners, and will offer trade show and educational opportunities, marketing materials and dedicated personnel focused on niche markets and tech trends, the company said in a statement.

“MakerBot’s printing and scanning solutions will be incorporated into D&H’s comprehensive K-12 education offering, which includes a resource page at dandh.com, plus educational sessions through avenues like its Solutions Lab Training Center,” the company said.  “Both MakerBot and D&H concur that K-12 and higher education are areas that are expected to help drive the continued adoption of 3D printing, as 3D printing is a new and compelling technology platform that bridges the gap between the digital and the physical world.”

Just last month the maker of 3D printers had announced its partnership with Wynit to bring its products to Canada.

Products to be distributed under the D&H partnership include MakerBot Replicator 3D Printers, including the Replicator Desktop 3D Printer, the Replicator Mini Compact 3D Printer, the Replicator Z18 3D Printer and the Replicator 2X Experimental 3D Printer. In addition, D&H will offer the Digitizer Desktop 3D Scanner, PLA and ABS Filaments, and other 3D printing accessories.
