Mitel launches subscription-based application on the cloud

Business communications company Mitel Networks recently announced the launch of Mitel OfficeLink, a cloud-based application that will help small businesses connected communications features on a mobile device.

Delivered through the Mitel CloudLink platform, OfficeLink is available in North America through the company’s subscription-based service and supports multiple lines and mid-call functionality, such as conferencing, transfer, group calling and other business communication features, according to an April 11 press release.

The new application will help businesses on their digital transformation journey at their own pace and budget, said Bob Agnes, EVP and president for Mitel Products and Solutions.

“Mitel OfficeLink was created hand in hand with our fast-moving small business customers. The result is a solution focused on simplicity, delivering only the features they need most to communicate and collaborate effectively,” said Agnes in a statement. “It reflects our commitment to enabling customers all along the path to the cloud as they journey from where they are now to where they want to be.”

Poor communication policies and systems are costly, too. Businesses lose an average of $11,000 per employee every year due to ineffective communications and collaboration, according to the 2017 Workplace Productivity and Communications Technology Report.

The latest announcement comes a month after Mitel combined its heritage partner program with recently acquired ShoreTell’s legacy program into one system called the Global Partner Program.
