Montreal-based cloud service provider iWeb has launched a new Microsoft Private Cloud service, giving businesses more cloud-based data management options.
According to iWeb, the new service is designed to give businesses more flexibility when it comes to managing their IT infrastructure, by allowing them to scale up into the Microsoft Private Cloud as needed, without making further investments in on-premise infrastructure.
The Microsoft Private Cloud from iWeb allows businesses to build their own virtual, software-defined data centre hosted on iWeb’s infrastructure, but managed by their own IT team as part of their own virtual data centre environment. Advantages touted by iWeb include alleviating concerns about in-house data centre space, on-demand infrastructure flexibility, and no data sovereignty issues as their data centres are in Canada.
“With businesses turning to the cloud more so than ever before, the Microsoft Private Cloud from iWeb provides the best of both worlds with cloud scalability on dedicated private infrastructure,” said Christian Primeau, president and COO of iWeb, in a statement. “Our team provides rapid deployment, state-of-the-art data centers and network infrastructure, all supported by top-notch professional services, freeing up customers to focus on their core business.
