N-Able grew 200 per cent in the SMB in 2011

Ottawa-based managed service provider N-Able Technologies dramatically increased the number of small-to-mid-size businesses from 22,000 to 59,000 in one calendar year.

That is a growth rate of 200 per cent since January of 2010 and N-Able grew the number of devices managed on a worldwide basis by more than 235 per cent, the company reported.

Most of that growth came internationally in regions such as Australia, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Scandinavia, the U.K., Germany and South Africa.

One of the factors to this growth was the release of N-central 8.0 and 8.1, as well as its Security Manager │Anti-spam product. N-able’s N-central RMM platform also achieved VMware Ready status in 2011.

Gavin Garbutt, CEO, N-able, said the exponential growth across N-able’s partner base is unrivaled and clearly demonstrates the success and ongoing leadership our partners hold within the IT industry. As a company, N-able performed ahead of plan and brought to market industry-leading offerings across our technology, MSP freemium programs, technical support and sales and marketing enablement resources to help our partners rapidly expand their share of wallet with existing customers and earn new business in 2011.

In 2011, N-Able introduced a channel program and resources highlighted by the new N-central Essentials freemium to enable MSPs to get all of their SMB customer devices under management at no cost. The company followed that up w ith free training and enablement webinars in 2011.
