Display vendor BenQ America has launched a new display designed specifically to meet the needs of the professional CAD/CAM community.
The 32” BL3201PH monitor offers accurate color reproduction and a large IPS panel to give engineering, graphic design, and 3D-printing professionals a wide viewing area with 4K2K ultra-high-definition optimized modes, 100-per cent sRGB colour accuracy and BenQ’s RevolutionEyes technology for enhanced visual comfort.
“Graphics professionals rely on colour precision and the ability to see every detail to ensure the success of their work,” said Bob Wudeck, associate vice-president, strategy and business development at BenQ America. “With our new BL3201PH design monitor, we’re expanding the screen size to 32 inches, adding 4K2K UHD resolution, and providing professionals with application-specific viewing modes — creating a design environment that makes detail-driven workflows more intuitive without compromising the device’s competitive price point.”
According to BenQ, the display’s 4K2K (3840×2160) UHD resolution allows professionals to more effectively manage their precision-based projects, and also provides a higher pixel per inch rate than other displays.
A new CAD/CAM optimization mode provides a special color map for popular CAD programs, and an Animation Mode increases visibility in darkened areas by automatically enhancing brightness for darker zones. The BenQ Display Pilot software also gives CAD/CAM users and animators with capabilities such as auto pivot, desktop partition, application tuning, PIP/PBP, and OSD setting adjustments.
An included external OSD controller lets users save presets such as CAD/CAM, Animation and Low Blue Light modes, and four USB 3.0 ports allow for the connection of keyboards and external storage media – there’s also an SD card reader.
The BL3201PH display is available now through the BenQ channel starting at $1,099.
