Display vendor BenQ America Corp. has released two new displays it promises effectively eliminate backlight flickering, making staring at the screen all day just a little easier on your eyes.
The two new entries in BenQ’s GW Series of mainstream monitors are the GW2765HT and GW2265HM, and the vendor is touting their design attributes with “high-gloss frames, curvaceous stands, and extremely slim bezels.”
The GW2765HT IPS monitor is a 27” display with 2560×1440 Wide Quad HD resolution that BenQ says delivers over 77 per cent more work space and higher pixels per inch than conventional 1920 x1080 full HD monitors, meaning less time zooming and scrolling.
The GW2265HM VA is a 21.5” display boasts 1920 x1080 native resolution and 3000:1 contrast ratio.
“The new GW units offer users elegance, high quality, and high performance at an affordable price,” said Bob Wudeck, associate vice-president, strategy and business development at BenQ America, in a statement. “Their slim, innovative design coupled with multisource connectivity and BenQ’s RevolutionEyes technology, including features such as Reading Mode, offers users a total solution for the home or office.”
The displays also feature ZeroFlicker, a feature BenQ says effectively eliminate backlight flickering at all levels of brightness. They also feature BenQ’s Senseye technology, with a Low Blue Light feature that removes up to 70 per cent of blue-spectrum light to protect users’ eyes. A new Reading Mode also adjusts screen brightness, contrast ratio, and sharpness when reading documents.
Each display is equipped with a pair of 1-watt built-in speakers and HDMI inputs.
Available now, the GW2265HM is priced at US$189 and the GW2765HT is priced at US$549.
