TORONTO – Sony of Canada Ltd. has unveiled two new business projectors that use a new LCD panel design.
p>The VPL-FE40 and VPL-FX40 projectors are the first Sony models to feature BrightEra technology, designed to produce a higher aperture ratio and brighter images than previous technologies. It also allows the projectors to achieve increased resolution and quieter fan noise, according to Sony.
Both projectors produce 4,000 ANSI lumens and can be incorporated into an IP network. The VPL-FE40 model has a native SXGA+ resolution of 1400 by 1050 pixels, and the VPL-FX40 delivers native XGA resolution of 1024 by 768 pixels.
The projectors both use 12-bit Gamma Correction Circuitry for more accurate gamma correction and more uniform image colour and brightness across the viewing surface.
The Sony VPL-FE40 projector sells for $7,999, and the VPL-FX4 for $5,599.
