Panasonic Canada Inc. is partnering with Gentek to distribute Panasonic’s SIP multi-cell DECT wireless handsets. Designed for in-building communications, the KX-UDT series of wireless handsets offer high-quality, encrypted, and mobile voice transmission.
Stefan Berens, Marketing Manager, Business Communication Solutions, Panasonic Canada, said this new partnership with Gentek will play a key role in helping us increase our business in the SIP wireless market space. Panasonic Canada chose to partner with Gentek because of the company’s great reputation for delivering exceptional service and value-added expertise to its customers, especially in the area of VoIP-based technology.
Gentek will distribute the full range of KX-UDT handsets, including the ruggedized KX-UDT131. The KX-UDT131 is IP65 compliant (dust and water splash resistant) and targeted for manufacturing, retail, and health care environments. The handset offers DECT 6.0 technology, for interference-free communications, along with a 1.8 inch, 65,000-colour TFT display, and full duplex speakerphone.
Jeffrey Freedman, VP Sales from Gentek, said Panasonic technology solutions are designed to address the needs of its customers, regardless of their industry. Together, we will be able to provide an excellent solution to enable our resellers to capitalize on the tremendous growth in the SIP VoIP markets.
Along with the KX-UDT handsets, Panasonic is introducing the KX-UDS124 SIP Cell Station, a 4-channel wideband cell station capable of handling up to 255 handsets. The KX-UDS124 Cell Station can manage four simultaneous calls and set up is simple, through an easy-to-use Web interface. The KX-UDS124 SIP cell station will also be available to Gentek customers.
The KX-UDT series handsets also include noise-canceling capabilities, built-in Bluetooth (KX-UDT131/121), adjustable ringtones, a 500-entry personal phonebook, Wideband Voice (G.722), as well as a concave shape to prevent accidental dialing.
In addition to the KX-UDT handsets, Gentek customers will also have access to Panasonic’s KX-TGP series of wireless handsets, which includes the KX-TGP500/550 Base Unit and Cordless Handsets.
