People-Kyocera Mita joins its marketing and technical teams

Mississauga, Ont. – Kyocera Mita Canada president Hitoshi Shimaoka recently announced that he will be combining the technical and marketing departments in an effort to utilize resources more efficiently and provide better customer service.

“It is becoming less convenient to separate technical and marketing activities,” said Shimaoka. “The departments deal with issues such as environment, warranty, solution sales such as Kyocapture and third party servicing which can be technical as well as marketing.”

Marco Nalli has been appointed as the company’s national marketing/technical manager.

Fluke Networks increases channel support
Mississauga, Ont. — In an effort to expand its channel sales organization, Fluke Networks Canada has appointed James Huber as national channel manager.

Huber will drive multi-channel sales for the company’s copper and fibre test tools, enterprise and telecommunications products and hand-held network test tools.

He joined Fluke Networks Canada in 1997 as western region sales manager where he was responsible for channel sales and support for all major product groups.

Novell hires new business unit exec
Waltham, Mass. — Roger Levy, from Lucent Technologies, has been hired by Novell to run its Linux and open source business unit. As general manager of the open platform solutions group, Levy will report to Jeff Jaffe, executive vice-president and chief technology officer.

Levy replaces David Patrick, who will be pursuing interests outside of Novell.
