CIO appointed to Hummingbird advisory board

Toronto — Gowling Lafleur Henderson LLP (Gowlings) Chief Information Officer Sandra Milloy will join Hummingbird Ltd.’s inaugural legal CIO advisory board. Milloy has expertise in the area of legal practice management.

The 24-member board,

including representatives from law firms in North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific will look to reduce risks and improve efficiencies at Hummingbird.

Sharon Mitchell, Gowlings’ CEO said of Milloy that she is a seasoned IT professional and will bring considerable knowledge and experience to her role on the CIO advisory board. 

Former Toshiba Canada boss heads out west

Vancouver — W3 Solutions has confirmed it will appoint Robert Grossman as vice-president, sales for Canada and the US.

Grossman, the former general manager of Toshiba Canada and reseller Telecom, brings to W3 Solutions years of experience in the computer and consumer electronics industries in Canada and the far east.

He has previously held a senior sales position for Compaq Canada before being acquired by Hewlett-Packard.

During his time at Toshiba Canada, Grossman led a team that consistantly exceeded the company’s profitability and strategic objectives.

After leaving Toshiba, Grossman went on to found his own management consulting firm where he contributed to the successes of 6040 Media inc., Moby Dark Inc., Popup Solutions Inc. among others.

Grossman also lent his time to the board of director’s of Popup Solutions Inc., and is an Honorary Board Member to the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Association of Canada.

Scott Walker, CEO of W3 Solutions said Grossman has an excellent track record in building customer-focused and results.
