Samsung introduces T.I.P. Trade-In Program to Canada

In an effort to promote being green, Samsung Electronics Canada has introduced its Samsung T.I.P. Trade-In Program, where customers can trade-in their printers in exchange for a rebate cheque for up to $200 when they purchase a qualifying Samsung printer.

Customers who participate in the program can obtain their rebate cheque after they purchase any one of 14 eligible Samsung printers. After purchasing a new Samsung printer, customers can register online at www.samsung.com/tip where they can sign up and see how much of a rebate they will get back. In order to trade the printer in and be eligible for the rebate, Samsung says the printer must still be in working order. Shipping and handling fees are included under the T.I.P. program.

Once the traded printer has been received and inspected by Samsung, the company will mail a cheque within six to eight weeks to the customer that can be used towards the purchase of a new printer. Samsung will then ensure the used printer is either re-used or is disposed of in a responsible and an environmentally-friendly way.

Samsung says its resellers are also able to submit claims on behalf of their customers or themselves. The T.I.P. program can be used by partners as an additional sales tool, the vendor said. The program is currently available and runs until September 30, 2008.
