Storage vendor Seagate has announced new entries in its Nytro flash storage portfolio, including two SSDs and an accelerator card.
The new products include the Nytro XF1440 2.5” and Nytro XM1440 M.2 SSDs and the XP6500 flash accelerator card, designed to work with Seagate’s existing products.
“With these products, Seagate’s commitment to the modern datacenter is clear,” Brett Pemble, vice president of flash products, Seagate cloud systems and electronics solutions said in a statement. “These new flash products greatly expand the range of our total product portfolio and demonstrate how Seagate’s acquisition of the LSI flash technologies is paying off.”
The company focused heavily on its XP6500 flash accelerator. According to the company, it is a PCIe card with “the lowest write latency within the Nytro product portfolio” designed for demanding applications including online transaction processing, high frequency trading, data warehousing, mining and analytics as well as workloads with mixed IO sizes.
The XP6500 accelerator card is now available, while the XF1440 will be released at the end of October and the XM1440 will be available early 2016.
