“The top distraction for telecommuters is household chores, with 31 per cent succumbing to what must be the purest form of procrastination – doing other menial work to avoid the work you’re supposed to be doing. Other things that might drag the telecommuter away from his or her laptop are the TV (26 per cent) or pets (23 per cent), but only 15 per cent of the at-home workers listed children as a source of interruption.”

Windows Phone 7 could pose a threat to Android (report)

Rachel King reports that the Windows Phone could be more of a threat than was thought.

“However, there is room for other operating systems – most notably Windows Phone 7. The problem for WP7 is that 45 percent of consumers are still not aware of it. Additionally, 44 percent of smartphone owners, and those who intend to buy one, said that they are at least considering to purchase a Windows Phone 7 device.”

Intermedia adds hosted Microsoft Lync to its cloud portfolio

But it’s offering a price break (with final dollars-and-cents value determined by the complexity and size of your deployment) when customers get it as part of one of its so-called “Office as a Service” solutions – basically bundled Microsoft Exchange messaging, archiving and compliance tools, at different levels of need.”
