ViewSonic moving entire display line to LED technology by early 2011

“ViewSonic has announced a major shift for the company: it will be moving all of its PC display products to LED by early next year. The reason behind the move is that LED displays will provide customers with ‘significant energy cost savings and improved performance and contrast.’”
Dell beefs up storage, but EMC partnership could be strained

“Barclays Capital analyst Ben Reitzes said: ‘While the acquisition is relatively immaterial for Dell, we believe the biggest impact will be a further strain on the Dell/EMC relationship; we expect EMC to move even quicker to diversify itself further away from Dell.’”
Tech Data Goes 3D TV, More Consumer Electronics

“Tech Data’s distribution prowess now has expanded for consumer electronic retailers. Specifically, Tech Data is also looking to leverage the relationships with hardware and software vendors to bring in consumer-class products to a lot of the e-tailers and brick-and-mortar stores they serve. Diversification is Tech Data’s strategy, and Tech Data says that they’ve added 1,300 consumer electronics retailers to their customer base in the last year. 3D TV’s fill an apparently pent up demand, and Lenovo IdeaPads fill the gap for a ‘consumer-class’ PC.”
