OTTAWA – Upcoming federal government procurement reform may cut out the small and medium enterprise (SME) channel from selling and supporting IT initiatives to Public Works and Government Services.
At the Federal IT 911 event put on by Kelly Bizeau, president of MarketWorks Ltd., it was revealed that the federal government will have little choice but to change the procurement process of IT products and services. This has the public sector IT channel worried about sustaining their businesses long term.
In this special video feature, Bizeau explains why the $50 billion deficit will start a domino effect on the channel, distribution and vendor community. CDN editor Paolo Del Nibletto also gets reaction from some of the top solution providers to the federal government.
