ViewSonic releases a really big PC monitor

ViewSonic has released a new IPS professional grade monitor, called the VP2770-LED.

What makes this PC monitor a bit different is that its a 27 inch desktop display targeted at professionals in digital photography, architecture, computer engineering and design. According to Walnut Grove, Calif.-based vendor it will offer these digital professionals nearly 80 per cent more pixels than a standard 1080p display.

It also offers a wide view IPS LED panel, full ergonomics, and full connectivity options.

The monitor features a WQHD (Wide Quad High Definition) 2560 x 1440 resolution with 3.7 million pixels (nearly 80 per cent more pixels than a standard 1080p display), for stunning high definition details.

It also has 1.07 billion colours, a high 20M:1 contrast ratio, super wide 178 / 178 viewing angles, and compatibility with most third party colour calibrators on the market.

The connectivity options are DisplayPort, HDMI, Dual-Link DVI and VGA, along with four USB ports to support peripherals. In addition, VP2770-LED provides users height adjust, swivel, tilt and pivot, plus VESA mount options.

The VP2770-LED includes a three-year limited warranty. It is priced at $799.
