North American technology resellers are about to get greater access to cloud communications, security and networking solutions thanks to a new industry partnership.
Cloud communications provider NetFortris Inc. and Westcon-Comstor, a value-added distributor, have signed a North American agreement that will allow the latter to offer to its customers the full NetFortris portfolio of security, networking and communications products.
NetFortris offers a variety of communication solutions, including basic cloud-based voice and advanced, cloud-based unified communications and collaboration services, which can allow customers to consolidate multi-site enterprise communications, reduce costs, and avoid ongoing maintenance of critical technologies.
The move comes as demand by enterprises of all sizes escalates for greater scalability, infrastructure optimization and cost savings of their communications systems, the companies said in a press release on Dec. 8. It expands on this, saying that by 2020, “hosted VoIP and UC market revenue is expected to reach $13 billion with seats totaling 74 million, according to global information firm HIS”.
Barat Dickman vice president and general manager of the Westcon-Comstor Unified Communications and Collaboration Solutions Practice says in the release that with the numerous technologies available for businesses on the market currently, “it can be difficult for CIOs to truly discern the overall advantages. With NetFortris, our customers are better able to design unique communication configurations built on proven technologies.”
