3D printer and scanner vendor MakerBot announced it will be partnering with consumer and professional electronics distributor Wynit to bring its products to Canada.
According to the company, the partnership will help expand MakerBot’s market in North America.
“WYNIT stands out because it has an entire team dedicated to supporting 3D printing,” said Mark Schulze, general manager of the Americas and Emerging Markets at MakerBot in a statement. “This team is designed to help resellers add MakerBot 3D printers and scanners to their product portfolio.”
Under the agreement, Wynit will have a dedicated 3D printing team that will assist resellers market the printers and scanners, and will also offer support and training, which may help partners in accessing the distie’s existing customer base in engineering, design and education sectors.
Wynit will distribute MakerBot Replicator 3D Printers, including the Replicator Desktop 3D Printer, the Replicator Mini Compact 3D Printer, the Replicator Z18 3D Printer and the Replicator 2X Experimental 3D Printer. Furthermore, the distributor will also offer the Digitizer Desktop 3D Scanner, PLA and ABS Filaments, and other printing accessories.
MakerBot products can already be purchased from Ingram Micro and Tech Data in Canada.
