One of Canada’s Big Four auditors has extended its relationship with software company Xero by achieving a gold-tier status within Xero’s partner program.
Xero, the born-in-the-cloud software company specializing in accounting technology, announced its first Canadian gold-tier relationship achievement Friday with PwC Canada (PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP), and according to Will Buckley, director at Xero Canada, PwC is “eager to work with Xero software.”
“PwC is blazing the trail for cloud adoption here in Canada, and we’re thrilled to be teaming up with them as they provide leading edge cloud solutions and applications to their clients,” he said.
PwC Canada wants to provide businesses a low cost cloud solution while providing access to its accounting, tax and consulting professionals, according to David Whiteley, partner at PwC Canada.
“PwC is excited to collaborate with our clients using Xero as a platform for creating a cloud enabled back office,” he said. “This will allow our clients to outsource their accounting, streamline their internal process and give them insights and access to real-time business performance data to drive strategic decision making.”
According to its website, Xero has 1.4 million subscribers in more than 180 countries. Its cloud-based platform, which helps improve invoicing, inventory, quoting, information security and more, is tailored for small businesses and can be integrated with more than 700 apps.
Xero is also hosting its Canadian Roadshow until Oct. 31, with its next stop in Calgary and Kitchener taking place on Oct. 16.
