This year’s CDN Top 100 awards gala was initiated by two workshops, one on the Canadian cloud channel, and another on Windows Server 2003 migration opportunities.

IDC’s David Senf led the workshop on Canadian Cloud Channel Impact Study Findings which were based on a joint CDN/IDC survey assessing the impact of cloud on the channel.

The second workshop on Windows Server 2003 end of support opportunities for the channel was chaired by Stephanie Widenoja of Variety Village (pictured) and Brendan Howe of TDCNet.

The event was once again held at the Paramount Conference & Event Venue in Woodbridge, ON.
About 200 solution providers, resellers and distributors from both the US and Canada attended the event.
In addition to the rankings, which list each company in order of its previous year’s total revenue, CDN recognized Canada’s five highest grossing solution providers, fastest rising company, highest-ranking newcomer, highest revenue generating small and mid-size business solution providers and the highest revenue generating solution providers by region, namely western, central and eastern Canada.
Attendees had a chance to network with other members of the Canadian channel.

The evening was sponsored by AMD, Dell Canada, Equinix, StorageCraft, HP Canada and Tech Data Canada.
The CDW Canada team (pictured) took home the top prize as Canada’s highest grossing solution provider of the year for the second time in a row.

Other winners included PrintersPlus, Long View Systems, Mainland Information Systems Ltd., CompuCom Canada Co., Eclipse Technology Solutions, Data Integrity Inc., ESI Technologies, Compugen Inc., FoxNet, Softchoice and Triware Technologies Inc.
