TORONTO – Dell Canada held its Power To Do More Summit 2016 at the Marriott Eaton Centre hotel. The event hosted several Canadian channel partners and customers and featured showcase displays from hyper converged vendor Nutanix, 3D printing vendor Maker Bot, open source leader Red Hat Canada, Intel Canada and a three-screen experience with Microsoft XBox.
The event started with an opening keynote from Dell Canada president Kevin Peesker on the misconceptions of the mega Dell/EMC acquisition. His keynote was followed up by a panel discussion with Intel Canada GM Graham Palmer, Susan Kittleman of Microsoft’s alliances group and Peekser.
Dell also brought in top executives such as Kirk Schell, the VP and GM for commercial client solutions, Jim Ganthier, Dell’s top cloud executive and company CFO Tom Sweet.
There were many breakout sessions for the channel and customers on storage, data protection, the modern IT department, big data, cloud, and the opportunity with hyper converged.
The guest keynote was delivered by Harley Finkelstein, a Canadian Dragon and COO of Shopify.
