With the release of a new printer line up, Samsung Electronics Canada Inc. has also developed a new partner program that will include Air Miles.
The new program called P3 (Power Partner Program), is a tool and investment in Samsung’s online partner resources, said Bob Park, IT channel marketing
manager for Samsung Canada.
Park, a former channel executive at Supercom, said the www.samsungpartner.ca Web site is more than just product information. “”The site assesses competitive information, marketing programs, promotions, technical services, contact lists and new features such as sales opportunity/lead generation in reseller regions,”” he added.
The Web site also contains a library of downloadable images, product specification sheets, and an area to claim MDF support.
“”Overall it enables us to keep in touch with partners online and not wait for regional reps to talk to them. They now have the tools they need to sell,”” he said.
For Air Miles, the company is looking to enter new markets including the IT channel.
John Wright, senior vice president of Air Miles Reward Program said IT vendors are looking for ways to motivate VARs to choose their products over those of the competition. Canada has tens of thousands of VARs, responsible for selling virtually all technology into the Canadian small-medium business marketplace.
