One of the largest HD screens in Canada will be on display at the opening of the GE Canada’s high tech customer experience centre in Toronto.
At the centre of the new energy-efficient facility is a 60-foot long by 10-foot tall 180 degree curved HD video wall.
GE Canada is calling this display “an HD wall on steroids.” This display is powered by the latest HD technology, the lowest power consuming tech, Laser Phosphor Display (LPD). The LPD uses 60 to 70 per cent less energy than LED, plasma or back-lit displays, GE Canada claims.
This display technology was developed Prysm Inc. and delivered to GE Canada by its Canadian solution provider APG Displays of Mississauga, Ont., who did the integration work.
Visitors to the GE Canada customer experience centre can walk right in front of the video wall and get snapshots of the company’s 125 year timeline of innovation and history along with learning about some of the new applications offering by the company.
