Arrow Electronics, Inc. is looking to stake its claim in the lucrative smart buildings market place. The value-added distributor has entered a partnership with Vimoc Technologies, a Mountain View, Calif.-based vendor of artificial intelligence solutions.
The key to this new partnership for Arrow is Vimoc’s Rosella AI computing platform, which was developed for applications ranging from smart factories to smart buildings.
Aiden Mitchell, vice president of global IoT solutions at Arrow, said building owners and operators are looking to optimize revenue efficiency and improve the quality of experience between people and infrastructure. Arrow’s network of solution providers now have access to Vimoc’s deep-learning technology at the edge of the network to realize these intelligent infrastructure objectives.
Rosella software extends cloud computing to the edge offering accurate, reliable and real-time intelligence for safety-critical applications and smart facilities. Rosella is based on a landscape computing topology allowing scalability to meet changing requirements. An open API provides analytics and business solutions that help increase security and infrastructure revenues.
Ali Sebt, president and chief marketing officer of Vimoc, said Arrow’s vision towards end-to-end IoT solutions combined with Vimoc’s deep learning solutions will give customers the ability to address the many inefficiencies with today’s infrastructures and to increase their infrastructure asset value.
