Asigra Inc. has announced that FlexITy will be using its Cloud Backup platform for its backup and recovery services.
FlexITy, a Richmond Hill, ON-based MSP already offers services in voice, data, storage and networking.
According to Asigra, FlexITy made the choice based on the platform’s NIST FIPS 140-2 certification, which is applicable to the healthcare and financial services verticals, agentless architecture which allows the solution to back up applications, operating and file systems over the network, and consolidated approach with high automation.
Asigra, a Toronto-based software vendor, added converged data protection to its latest release of its cloud backup solution in February.
“The transition from on-premise data protection to the cloud is taking place now and IT service providers recognizing this will take an early lead in capitalizing on the opportunity,” said Eran Farajun, executive vice president at Asigra said in a statement.
