Asus launches Transformer Pad in Canada

Taiwanese vendor offering a "stay connected" strategy with 4G access

AsusAsus has launched its first quad-core LTE capable tablet.

Called Transformer Tab, it features on the go access to the Internet, email, and a private VPN network.

The Transformer Pad TF300TL is designed as the ideal mobile entertainment and gaming platform, the company said in a statement. It will be offering through the retailer channel starting at at $449 for the 16GB storage model and an optional mobile dock accessory priced at $149. The ASUS Transformer Pad TF300TL features NVIDIA’s next-generation quad-core Tegra 3 processor. With the quad-core CPU, 12-core GeForce GPU and vSMP technology, the TF300TL delivers full 1080P HD video.
