The number of partners eligible for rebates through Avaya Holding Corp.’s edge program increased by 281 per cent between 2017 and 2018, and the digital communications company is hoping to see that number grow after announcing a series of enhancements to the program.
“Much of the coming year’s focus will empower channel partners to easily deploy cloud-based products as cloud adoption continues to skyrocket,” said Dino Di Palma, Avaya’s president of Americas sales and global accounts.
Regardless of size or business model, all partners are welcome, he added.
“Simplified and streamlined program requirements combined with increased benefits and rebates will expand the Avaya channel partner community across multiple business types, including enterprise VARs, mid-market and small-medium businesses, system integrators and more,” he said.
According to Tim Banting, principal analyst for GlobalData, who was cited in the press release, Avaya has done a good job of keeping things simple.
“Some vendor programs leave channels confused with complex structures and incentive programs which can lead to misaligned sales behavior and issues in partner profitability. Avaya has constructed a comprehensive program that simplifies, integrates and aligns with channel partner needs to help drive growth and introduce additional business opportunities,” he said.
Avaya says it will provide workshops and additional resources on the Edge Partner Program at its Avaya Engage conference, which starts Jan. 20.
