Avnet Reports 18.1% Growth In FY 2010

“Technology and IT distributor Avnet has announced its results in Q4 and FY 2010 – and they say that they’ve grown quarterly revenue 38.5 per cent year over year and annual revenue 18.1 per cent year over year. In plain terms, the tech titan made $19.16 billion in FY 2010 – and the VAR-oriented Avnet Technology Solutions division led the way.”

How Is 3D TV Doing? Some Data From Japan

Serkan Toto writes that a few dozen models of 3D TVs are now available in Japan and also includes some research findings that look at the global market opportunity in his post.
“According to a recent report released by the firm (DisplaySearch), as many as 3.4 million 3D TVs will be sold worldwide in fiscal 2010 (five per cent of the entire flat TV market). The firm expects 3D TVs to achieve a whopping 43 million shipments as early as 2014 (37 per cent). We’ll know soon if they’re right.”
