Business software vendor SAP AG has released a new edition of its SAP BusinessObjects Mobile app, now available for download in the iTunes store.
Version 5.0 brings together several of SAP’s business intelligence and analytic applications into a single mobile app, offering customers the flexibility and freedom to do business better on-the-go with mobile analytics. SAP said the solution is needed to serve an increasingly mobile workforce, and to make decisions on the go those mobile workers can’t be operating with stale information.
The new version of SAP BusinessObjects Mobile is built on SAP’s Mobile Platform and now enables users to collaborate using the SAP Jam social software platform, do voice command as a form of annotation and ask any questions with “Exploration Views” on their iOS device.
Key updates in the latest edition include:
* Access to multiple sources of analytic content with one application, including BusinessObjects Web Intelligence, BusinesObjects Explorer, BusinessObjects Design Studio, Crystal Reports, BusinessObjects Dashboards software, the SAP EPM Unwired mobile app and the SAP Lumira Cloud platform.
* Social integration with SAP Jam and support for SAP StreamWork
* A simplified user experience with a new home screen and toolbar, improved navigation, voice commands, and native iPhone and iPad functionality
