Toronto-based Dot2Dot Communications Inc., a full service digital signage solutions provider, has confirmed the acquisition of Pixel Point Digital.
Pixel Point is also located in Toronto and together the newly formed organization increases its overall expertise in digital signage along with increasing the client base, said Andy McRae, GM of Dot2Dot.
The combined company will go to market under the name Dot2Dot Communications. The new company will now be able to adds sales, project management, installation, and customer service expertise.
Ray Prachun, President of Pixel Point, said Dot2Dot has been a strategic ally for Pixel Point for many years now. A changing supplier arrangement along with a more integrated market has made this decision easy.
“Working together allows us to give our customers a broader range of skill sets and improved support services. It’s a natural win-win-win scenario for our companies and our customers,” Prachun said.
Dot2Dot has been in the digital signage market for three-decades and has a proprietary media management platform called Ad Manager that offers a unique value-ad for customers who operate a revenue generating network. Other services include: content creation, installation, managed services, training, and support.
The Dot2Dot/Pixel Point deal is the biggest digital signage deal since mid-2016 when Stratacache of Dayton, Ohio and Scala Inc. of Malvern, Pa. came together. Those two players entered into an acquisition deal that saw Stratacache get majority control of Scala. Stratacache has expertise in media distribution and enterprise video acceleration technology, while Scala the stronger channel network and they have more global locations. Stratacache has a notable Canadian presence with its office in Mississauga, Ont.
