MISSISSAUGA, Ont. Canon Canada announced the PIXMA iP90v Photo Printer, which it says delivers high print quality, speed, and innovative features for mobile business professionals and home consumers.
Small enough to be transported in many laptop bags, the iP90v will be available for a manufacturer’s suggested list price of $375.
The PIXMA iP90v Photo Printer has a print head with 1,088 total nozzles which allows for high-speed printing over wide areas in a single pass.
The printer delivers up to 8.5×11-in. borderless photo prints at up to 16 pages-per-minute in black and up to 12 ppm in color. Borderless, photo-lab quality 4×6-in. photos from the computer, print in approximately 81 seconds.
Consumers have the option to print wirelessly from select Bluetooth enabled cellular phones and computers with the optional user installable Bluetooth Unit (BU-10)4, which will have a manufacturer’s suggested list price of $1,301. The printer also includes a built-in IrDA port (IrDA version 1.1)
Users have the option to purchase a Portable Kit (LK-51B), which includes a Lithium Ion battery with an approximate 450 page life per two-hour charge, along with the battery housing that connects the battery to the printer, for a manufacturer’s suggested list price of $1,751.
An optional Cradle Kit (CK-51B) that includes the Lithium Ion battery, the battery holder and a charging cradle for the printer is also available, and has a manufacturer’s suggested list price of $2,401.
There’s also an optional Automobile Power Unit (PU-100U). Users who frequently work from their car.
The printer is fully compatible with the Windows Vista to Win98 operating system and Mac platforms (Mac OS X v 10.2.1 to 10.3.x.).
