MISSISSAUGA, Ont. – Canon Canada, Inc. announced the availability of two new colour and one monochrome general office desktop Laser Beam Printers (LBP) under the imageRUNNER brand name.
The Color imageRUNNER LBP5960 operates at up to 30 pages-per-minute (ppm) for both colour and black and white, while the Color imageRUNNER LBP5360 operates at up to 22 ppm for both colour and black and white output for letter-sized media. The monochrome imageRUNNER LBP3460 operates at up to 35 ppm for letter-sized black-and-white output.
“The addition of these new models, combined with the imageRUNNER branding and dealer channel, will allow Canon to fully meet the demands and needs of any customer environment and budget,” said Mason Olds, senior vice-president and general manager of Canon Canada’s Imaging Systems Group.
“The market still demands single function printing technology, and with these new models, those customers can reap the benefit of a Canon imageRUNNER device on the desktop.”
The new compact printer design fits neatly into tight workspace environments.
The $4,080 Color imageRUNNER LBP5960, which supports true 1,200 x 1,200 dots-per-inch (dpi) printing resolutions, features an adjustable 230-sheet front loading paper cassette that is versatile enough to accommodate paper sizes up to 11-inch x 17-inch including envelopes.
The $1,620 Color imageRUNNER LBP5360 offers 600 x 600 dpi letter-sized printing with a 250-sheet front-loading paper cassette and 100-sheet stack bypass tray. There’s also an optional 500-sheet paper cassette, and an optional 20 GB hard disk drive for print job box storage.
The $1,200 imageRUNNER LBP3460 is a letter-sized 600 x 600 dpi black-and-white printer for the general office environment. The printer can utilize an all-in-one cartridge with either a 6,000 or 12,000 image yield, depending on office output needs. The single cartridge system contains all consumables for fast easy maintenance and consistent print quality.
All three devices feature a standard USB 2.0 High Speed interface for direct connection to a host, as well as 10/100BaseTX Ethernet interface for shared use and remote monitoring in networked environments.
