Brains II Inc., an independent provider of on-site maintenance services, yesterday announced with CBL Data Recovery Technologies Inc. that it will market and resell CBL’s Data Recovery services throughout Canada.
Brains II, headquartered in Markham, Ont., recently acquired NexInnovations’ break-fix and warranty services division. The partnership with CBL extends the six-year business relationship that CBL previously had with NexInnovations.
CBL, also headquartered in Markham, Ont., is a data recovery services and software provider and specializes in recovering data from occurrences such as, hard drive failure, accidental file deletion, viruses, software corruption and damage caused as a result of natural disasters.
Under the new alliance, Kalle Almer, director of business development at CBL, said Brains II will be able to fix what is broken and complimenting that, CBL can then recover any data that’s lost.
“Data recovery is often overlooked,” Almer said. “For third party maintenance providers like Brains II, data recovery service completes any solution.”
Brains II customers who are in need of data recovery services may contact their respective Service Consultant, or can drop off their storage media device to one of the company’s many service depots which are located throughout Canada. CBL engineers will then work to recover the lost data from current system brands, as well as from older systems that run on operating systems which include, Unix, Solaris, Linux, Red Hat and Ubuntu, to name a few.
For Dave Massey, vice-president of sales at Brains II, the service alliance was a great fit for both companies.
“Data recovery is an offering that will compliment Brains II’s extensive list of service options,” he said.
